Barcelona deciding between Lautaro Martinez and Timo Werner

Barcelona’s lack of planning has been rightly criticised this season but they are already reportedly thinking about attacking options for next season.

Barcelona’s lack of planning has been rightly criticised this season but they are already reportedly thinking about attacking options for next season.

Mundo Deportivo report the club are weighing up whether to try and sign Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan for €110 million or RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner for €60m.

News of interest in Martinez is not new, but it seems that Barca are not the only club interested and face a battle for his signature. He’s also very expensive.

Werner is a far cheaper option and is enjoying a prolific season in Germany. He has 27 goals in all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit so far in in 2019-20.

The Germany international has been almost openly flirting with Liverpool in the last week or so but has also said it would be fun to play in Spain.
